Requiring specialties
If a job requires specific expertise, add that specialty to the job before assigning resources. That way, when you assign resources, the specialty will be included in the search criteria for available resources so you can assign resources more accurately.

Access a job
- If not already in a New Job/Edit Job window, find the job in Calendar > Jobs (List View)/Jobs (Monthly View)/Jobs (Weekly View) and open the job. See Searching jobs.
- In the View Job window, click Edit.
- Click Edit Job > Specialties.

Add specialties
- Click
in the Specialties pane.
- In the Add Specialties panel, check the requested specialties.
- Click Save. (To manage specialties, see Lists > Resources.)
NOTE: Removing specialties
To remove a specialty from a job, check its box, then click
.
NEXT: Set up tasks for the job
Any specialties added in the Specialties pane will appear in the Assign Resource panel of tasks in the job to restrict the list of available resources to those that include the requested specialties. See Entering tasks.
