Searching resources

Find resources directly in your RB9 database using various search criteria. Before entering a resource into the database, check to see if it is already there. See if there are duplicate entries with slightly different names that you can merge together. View financial and task trends of an individual resource.

  1. Set search criteria

    1. Entities > Resources
    2. In the Search By pane, no specific filter is required, but you must use at least one of the search filters:
      • Name
Full Name is default. Enter part of a resource’s name. If you are searching for an individual and the search returns too many results, select First Name in the drop-down to search by resource’s given name or Last Name to search by surname/family name.
      • State
Click lookup button to select a state in the Lookup State popup. See Looking up firms.
      • Zip
Enter a 5-digit zip code to search for resources in one area.
      • Resource Type

      • Show Active Only

Default is Yes. Leave as the default if you only want to see resources that you have designated as Active (see Entering general resource information). If you want to see all resources, click to select No.

TIP: Set up the results grid to work for you

The Resources’ results grid layout is customizable. You can hide or show any column, rearrange the column order, stretch or shrink column widths, designate which column to sort results by in ascending or descending order, and choose which columns you want to always be visible when scrolling through the results. You can save your custom grid layout or return to the default layout. See Customizing grids.

NOTE: Finding resources on the fly

You can look up resources in any RB9 function with a Resource field. See Looking up resources.
