Using interactive reports

Unlike most results grids in RB, interactive reports do not look like other grids and are manipulated differently. Interactive reports have initial summary views which you can then drill down into for more details by clicking column and row headers.

Some functions offer both static and interactive reports, so you can view/use the information in the best way for your purpose.

In all interactive reports, RB displays a snapshot of the relevant data in a selected time frame. Years are displayed in the column headers, and the type of data being searched, such as clients, resources, service items, or tracking items, are listed in rows.

If there are multiple data points for the report, such as in the Job Analysis report (RB9 only) where it tracks scheduled and cancelled jobs, each year is further broken down into subheaders, in this case scheduled jobs, cancelled jobs, and net jobs.

If data types has subgroups, they sometimes will include subtotals for the subgroups when viewing the reports in the detailed or expanded view.

Grand totals are included for each row and column in the report grid.

  1. To view more details in an interactive report, click right arrow next to:

  2. If you want to quickly return to the initial view, click Expand/Collapse > Collapse Date and Expand/Collapse > Collapse [relevant row header].

You can also click the down arrow button next to individual headers to close their subheaders.
