Knowing who is calling

RB9 only

Create this report to share with the appropriate departments in your business that shows which contacts at which firms are scheduling and canceling jobs. Or view this information as a snapshot to quickly see who your best clients are.

  1. Set parameters

    1. Calendar > Job Analysis
    2. Change the search filters as needed, then click search button.
      • View Option

        Summary – Default. Displays as a report the total amounts of scheduled, canceled, and net jobs by firm and each firm’s contacts for the date range entered in Date From/Date To.

        By Month – Displays a snapshot of scheduled, canceled, and net jobs by firm and firm contacts, broken down into month-, quarter- and year-to-date totals.

      • Show Quarterly

        By Month only

        No – Default. When viewing the report with Expand/Collapse > Expand Date, jobs will be displayed by month and year only.

        Yes – When viewing the report with Expand/Collapse > Expand Date, jobs will be displayed by month, quarter, and year.

      • Sort By

        Number of Net – Default. Displays firms in descending order of scheduled jobs minus canceled jobs.

        Firm and Contact NameSummary only. Displays the results in alphabetical order.

      • Date Type

        Entered Date – Default. Displays jobs that were entered into RB9 in the Date From/Date To range.

        Job Date – Displays jobs scheduled to take place during the date range.

      • Date From/Date To

        Works with Date Type. Date range defaults to 30 days ago to today. Change date range, if desired (see Date Navigator).

      • Job Type

        Categories of jobs requested by clients. Default is ALL. Click lookup button to restrict search to specific job types (see Lookup panel). Job type options are set in Lists > Jobs.

      • Firm

        Leave blank unless you want to analyze the job settings for a particular firm. To select a firm, see Looking up firms.

      • Case

        Leave blank unless you are analyzing job settings for a particular case. To select a case, see Looking up cases.

      • Business Units

        Profit centers or parts of your business you track separately. Default is ALL. Click lookup button to restrict search to job settings tied to specific BUs (see Lookup panel). BUs are set in Business Units.

  2. View report

    RB9 totals new, canceled, and net jobs in the calendar by firm, broken down by contact, so you can see how many calendar settings you are getting from each client. Net jobs are displayed as both a number and a percentage.

    The search criteria used to generate the Summary report appear at the bottom of each page of the report above the timestamp.

BEST PRACTICES: Holiday gift list

The best way to come up with a meaningful holiday gift list is to run the Job Analysis report sorted by the number of net jobs. Then you will know which clients are generating the most business for your firm and to whom you want to send gifts of appreciation.
