Production turn-in can be done by resources through RB Connect, or by your production department.

Turned in by resource?
NO
YES

When resources turn in their jobs via RB Connect, the office is notified through Notifications and Messages.

Production turn-in

If resources don’t do their own turn-in, your production department enters witnesses, parties to bill, and services requested from the billing sheet.

Repository

Upload files (such as transcripts and exhibits) to RB9’s Repository, then publish them for clients and resources.

Labels/ Shipping

Print labels for sending materials via surface mail. Or prepare FedEx/UPS shipping labels. (RB9 Standard only)

Letters

Use RB9’s extensive variety of form letters to correspond with attorneys, witnesses and others. (RB9 Standard only)

Billing

After verifying turn-in information, select rate tables and enter miscellaneous charges. Calculate, post and print invoices.

Note: Turn In/Billing workflow

Creating an invoice involves two separate parts: Turn-in and Billing.

  1. Turn-in is usually initiated by a resource, such as a reporter, through RB Connect, where they can enter details about the witness, ordering parties, and requested services into your RB9 database. Otherwise, your production department performs these tasks when they receive a billing sheet with an ASCII file from a resource.
  2. After completing turn-in, the job is handed off to the billing department, which reviews and posts (finalizes) the invoices, then sends them to the clients.
