Offering incentive bonus programs

Well-planned incentive bonus programs can help you attract and retain highly talented reporters. For example, when new reporters walk in the door with attorneys already in their pockets, use the Client Of feature in RB9 to:

Encourage (and reward) all of your resources to be a marketing force. After all, they interact with attorneys who are not your clients every single day. If any resources bring in new clients, track and pay them incentive bonuses too.

  1. Entities > Firms or Entities > Contacts
  2. Locate a resource’s client.
  3. In the View Firm/View Contact window, scroll or jump to the Marketing pane. If no resource appears in Client Of, click Edit.
  4. To specify this firm’s/contact’s resource who qualifies for bonuses, see Looking up resources.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Entities > Resources
  7. Locate the resource. (See Searching resources.)
  8. In the Edit Resource window, scroll or jump to the Pay Info pane.
  9. Click Save.
  10. To pay incentive bonuses, go to Payables > Sales Commission Report.
  11. In the Commission For drop-down, select Client Of to generate a list of commissionable invoices.
