Printing sales commission reports

View all invoices that include a commission, grouped and subtotaled by resource or sales rep (account executive). Voided commissions are listed on the report as adjustments.

  1. Generate report

    1. Payables > Sales Commission Report
    2. In the Search By pane, specify the following search filters:
      • Date Type

        Default is Invoice Post Date. Select Payment Post Date in the drop-down if you pay commissions only on paid invoices.

      • *Date From/*Date To

        Required. Works with Date Type. Default is today. Change date range, if desired (see Date Navigator).

      • Commission For

        Default is Sales Rep. Select Client Of in the drop-down to search for resources who earn commissions on their own clients.

      • Exclude Copies

        Default is No. Click to select Yes if you do not pay commissions on copy sales.

      • Deduct Resource Cost

        Default is No. Click to select Yes if you pay commissions based on RARE (Revenue After Resource Expenses) or NIBO (Net Income Before Overhead).

      • Business Units

        Profit centers or parts of your business you track separately. Default is ALL. Click lookup button to restrict search to invoices tied to specific BUs (see Lookup panel). BUs are set in Business Units.

    3. Click search button. RB9 lists all of the invoices that meet the specified search condition(s) as a report, grouped by resource/sales rep. The search criteria used to generate the report appear at the bottom of each page of the report above the timestamp.
  2. Export/print results

    Export the report to save it and/or edit it in another application, or print it. See Printing invoices, statements & reports.
NOTE: Voided commissions listed separately in reports

Voided invoices are listed in Adjustments for each resource or sales representative if Not to void Client Of Commission or Not to void Sales Rep Commission are not selected when voiding an invoice. See Voiding invoices.
