Creating jobs in bulk

If you have a series of regularly scheduled jobs for a single client or case, save time by scheduling the jobs in advance with Set Multiple Job Dates. Select every day or specific days of the week within a time frame, and RB automatically sets up the jobs.

  1. Start new job

    Follow Scheduling jobs up to *Job Date (required).

  2. Enter job dates

    1. After selecting the ordering client, click Set Multiple Job Dates in the New Job window.
    2. In the Set Job Dates panel, choose in the Type drop-down:
      • Scheduler

        Default wizard adds dates within a range automatically.

        1. Occurs: Select Daily to create jobs for every day including Saturday and Sunday. Select Weekly to select the days of the week.
        2. Weekdays: Default is Yes Monday through Friday, and No for weekends. Click any of the sliders to change which days of the week are selected.
        3. Duration: Enter the *Start Date and *End Date(required).
      • Fixed Dates

        Add dates one at a time.

        1. In the Job Date pane, enter a date in the field or select a date in the Date Navigator.
        2. Click Add New Date and select another date.
        3. Repeat until you have entered all the dates.
    3. Click Save. The specified parameters appear in the Job Date field.
      TIP: Multiple appearances for the same job on a single day?

      If there are more than one witness appearing on the same day for the same job, use Fixed Dates to quickly set up the multiple appearances for the same day. If the appearances are for different times on the same day, enter the first appearance’s times in Start Time/End Time. Then edit the times of the other scheduled appearance(s) to their correct times.

  3. Enter job information

    1. Finish adding required job information:
      • *Start Time/*End Time

        Required. Select times in popup lists.

      • *Business Unit

        Required. Change the default if needed. BUs are set up in Business Units.

    2. If you have job information that will be the same for all of these jobs, such as job location, enter the details before saving the job.

    3. Click Save. Identical jobs are created for the specified dates, jobs are assigned numbers, and the Edit Job window closes.

Verify that you have entered your client’s request correctly into RB by sending them a job confirmation email. You can send job confirmations as you schedule jobs or send a day’s worth at once (see Sending job confirmations or cancellations).
