Setting up a Payeezy business account

Before your clients can pay invoices online through RB Connect, you must set up a business account with one of the accepted online payment processing services and enter your credentials in RB9. Follow these instructions to set up a Payeezy business account and enter your credentials in RB9.

NOTE: Payeezy site instructions & wording might be different

These instructions might be slightly different from the actual site, however, the concept is the same. You must set up a business account on Payeezy and get API credentials which you then enter in RB9 before you can accept payments online.

  1. Set up free developer account

    1. Go to Payeezy’s developer portal.
    2. Click Create Account.
    3. Enter your first name, last name, and email address.
    4. Select "Developer - As A Merchant" in the drop-down.
    5. Check the reCaptcha box.
    6. Click Create Your Account.

  2. Create your API

    1. Login to your Payeezy developer account and navigate to the "APIs" page.
    2. Click + ADD A NEW API.
    3. Name your application.
    4. Click on the API you just created to see your API Key and API Secret.

  3. Test & get certified

    1. In the Sandbox region of the developer site, test your API using the provided demo gateway account and your API Key and API Secret, the provided demo Merchant Token and JS Security Key, and "NOIW" as the TA Token.
    2. Select Direct API as the integration method.
    3. Complete the Payeezy Certified Developer registration and submit a sample transaction from the Sandbox.
    4. Click Certify and submit the certification form.

  4. Add your merchant account

    1. After completing certification, you will be automatically directed to the Add Merchant page. Click Live, then click Add a merchant.
    2. Select Sign up for a merchant account and follow the instructions.

  5. Take your account live

    1. Replace Sandbox URL with live environment URL.
    2. Replace Sandbox merchant token with live merchant token.
    3. Replace Sandbox JS_Security_key with live JS_Security_key.
    4. Ensure that API key and API secret are enabled for live processing.
    5. Replace TA_TOKEN (if used) with the live TA_TOKEN.

  6. Enter your credentials in RB9

    1. In RB9, go to Connect Preferences > Contact – Account Activity and click Edit.
    2. Add your API credentials to the Online Payment pane:
      • Online Payment Method
        Select First Data (Payeezy) in the drop-down.
      • *API Key
        Required. Copy and paste your company’s API Key from your Payeezy account.
      • *API Secret
        Required. Copy and paste the API Secret from your Payeezy account.
      • *Merchant Token
        Required. Copy and paste the Merchant Token from your Payeezy account.
    3. Click Save.
