After adding services to invoices, populate them with billing information, choose invoice messages, upload repository files, and enter notes.

In the Edit Invoice General pane, not all fields are editable. Fields you can edit:
Enter a new date or click to select date in the Date Navigator.
Click to select Yes if this is your O&1 client.
Click to select Yes if the invoice is due upon delivery.
If the Bill To firm has been designated COD in the Additional pane of its listing (see Entering additional firm information), this box will be checked by default.
Click to select Yes to have services listed on the invoice.

Required. Individual at the firm who ordered the services. Click >
View Contact: To view/edit contact details. See Updating contacts.

If a third party is paying for this invoice, click to select the firm. See Looking up firms.
Click to select the contact at the Bill To Firm who is responsible for paying the invoice. If contact isnt listed, click
to create a new contact (see Adding contacts).
Whether the Bill To client is the same as the Sold To client or is a third party, the Bill To Firm and Bill To Contact fields must have entities selected in them before you can calculate invoices.
Unlimited character count. Your default Invoice Message appears. Override for this order by entering the text you want or click to select a different invoice message in the Lookup Invoice Message window. To customize the appearance of the message, see Customizing notes & remarks.
Messages and the default are managed in Setup > Invoice Messages. See Setting up invoice messages.
Instead of updating each invoice’s message one at time, use Set Invoice Messages to update all or some of the related invoices’ messages in a batch. See Selecting invoice messages.
To enter additional information, including e-billing information, scroll or jump to the Additional pane. See Adding optional billing information to invoice.
If the resource gave you any files, such as exhibits and orders, scroll or jump to the Repository pane, and upload the files. See Uploading files to a repository.
If you want to make any notes about the invoice, scroll or jump to the Notes Log pane. See Making notes.
The next step in creating invoices is optional. RB9 automatically generates a standard invoice header for each witness based on the service items selected, but if the default header is not appropriate or descriptive enough in this instance, select one of your custom invoice headers. See Selecting invoice headers.
You can also select one of your custom invoice messages, if the default isn’t appropriate. See Selecting invoice messages.
If you do not need to set invoice headers or messages, then your billing staff can finalize the invoices.
