Search posted invoices using a variety of criteria. View and update individual invoices. From search results, send original or current versions of invoices to clients.
If you want to search by the Bill To Firm, use Send Invoices. Otherwise, Invoice Inquiry will usually be the best function for finding invoices when you don’t have the invoice number because it has the most search filters.
Also, Invoice Inquiry’s results grid layout is customizable, so you can set it up to show results as you want to see them, such as the column order, which columns are visible and which the list is sorted by. See Customizing grids.
To find a single invoice by its RB9-generated invoice number, enter the full invoice number.
Works with Date Type. Enter dates in the fields or click to select dates in the Date Navigator.
To find invoices for a job, enter the full job number.

Click to find invoices for a case (see Looking up cases).
Send Invoices only
Click to find invoices for a single firm that will be paying for the invoices.

To find an invoice by its claim number, enter the full claim number.

To find an invoice by its client matter number (a number designating the client combined with a number designating the case), enter the full client matter number.

To find invoices with billed totals within a certain dollar amount range, enter numerals only.

To find an invoice for a Bill To contact who gave you a reference number to use on the invoice, enter the number.

Some reporters or agencies who work for other agencies have their own reference number for their invoices. Enter part of the reference number to search for invoices that include services from a resource that sent you an invoice.
Default is ALL. To limit which categories of invoices to search, click (see Lookup panel). Invoice types are set in Lists > Invoice.

Enter part of the city name where the billed job took place.
Invoice Inquiry only
Default is ALL. Click to restrict the search to specific states, provinces, territories (see Lookup panel).
Profit centers or parts of your business you track separately. Default is ALL. Click to restrict search to jobs tied to specific BUs (see Lookup panel). BUs are set in Business Units.
Click . RB9 lists all of the posted invoices that meet the specified search condition(s). Voided invoices appear in red.
Both Send Invoices and Invoice Inquiry include an Invoice Amount column and a Balance+ column. Balance+ shows the current balance for the invoice including all fees added since the original invoice was issued, such as late charges and finance charges, and minus any payments already made. Invoice Inquiry includes a Balance column which displays the outstanding amount of the original invoice minus any payments.
Because COD invoices are different from regular invoices and cannot be posted until paid, they are not included in Send Invoices or Invoice Inquiry searches. To find COD invoices, use Billing > COD Invoices. See Working with COD invoices.
