Working with COD invoices

Send COD invoices to clients via email, RB Connect, or traditional methods. And when you receive a payment for a COD invoice, remove the COD flag, post the invoice, and apply the payment.

  1. Find invoice

    1. Billing > COD Invoices
      TIP: Flag invoices as COD in Turn In

      Invoices are designated as COD in the New Invoice/Edit Invoice panel in Turn In. (See Adding billing information to invoices.)

    2. In the Search By pane, click search button to see all outstanding COD invoices or use the search filters to restrict results before clicking search button:
      • Invoice No.

        Number of the invoice for which you received payment.

      • Invoice Date From/Invoice Date To

        Date or date range of COD invoices for which you received payment. Change date range, if desired, for example if you want to purge old COD invoices.

      • Case

        Case related to the COD invoice. See Looking up cases.

      • Bill To Firm

        Firm responsible for the COD invoice. See Looking up firms.

      • Job No.

        Job number related to the COD invoice.

      • Business Units

        Profit centers or parts of your business you track separately. Default is ALL. Click lookup button to restrict search to COD invoices tied to specific BUs (see Lookup panel). BUs are set in Business Units.

  2. Manage invoice

    RB displays all invoices that fit the search criteria. To:
