While you must enter required job information (designated by * in RB) before saving a new job, you can enter other information, such as the scheduling firm if it’s different from the ordering firm, at any time.
In the Ordering Client pane of a New Job/Edit Job window:
If the firm scheduling the job is different from the firm ordering the job,
click > Lookup Firm in field and find the firm. See Looking up firms. Scheduling Firm Warning comes from the scheduling firm’s entry in Firms.
If you entered a scheduling firm, select the scheduling contact from the drop-down of the firm’s contacts, or click > New Contact to add a new contact to the scheduling firm (see Adding contacts to RB). Scheduling By Warning comes from the scheduling contact’s entry in Contacts.
Required. Change if needed by clicking > Lookup Firm in field. See Looking up firms. Changing the ordering firm does not change the scheduling firm, so you can have different ordering and scheduling firms for a job. Ordering Firm Warning and Ordering Firm Calendar Notes come from the ordering firm’s entry in Firms.
Required. Select from default drop-down of the ordering firm’s contacts, or click > New Contact to add a new contact to the ordering firm (see Adding contacts to RB). Ordering Contact Warning and Ordering Contact Calendar Notes come from the ordering contact’s
entry in Contacts.
If you are entering a new job and not just updating client information, you must also enter the job date and time in the General pane before you can save the job. Once you have set a job with its required information, you can enter other information you have for the job in any order. For instructions for the General pane, see Entering general job information.
