Entering party billing information
You can enter billing information for a party, such who to bill and insurance information, when adding parties or anytime afterwards.
- In the Parties pane of an Edit Case/Edit Job window, click the hyperlinked Contact whose information you want to add or update.
- In the Edit Party panel, scroll or jump to the Billing Info pane.
- In the Billing Info pane:

Billing Rate Group
The default comes from the setting in the contact’s profile. (See Entering contact marketing information.) You can override the default for this case or job by selecting a different Billing Rate Group in the drop-down. (You can also override the Billing Rate Group when invoicing jobs. See Applying rates.)

Same as Sold To
- If invoices are to be sent to this party: Click to select Yes. Bill To Contact will default to the Contact listed in the General pane. If a different contact at the firm should receive invoices and statements, click again to select No and select a different contact from the drop-down.
- If invoices are to be sent to a third party: Leave as No, and select a different firm and contact in the Bill To Firm and Bill To Contact fields. See Looking up firms.
- If the Bill To client requires e-billing, see Entering electronic billing information.
- Click Save in the Edit Case window or Save > Save & Close in the Edit Job window.
NOTE: Entering party billing information at turn-in
If you do not have billing information before a job is completed, you can enter it in Turn In when creating invoices. See Adding billing information to invoices.
