Resource – Turn In preferences

Preferences for resources turning in jobs online.

Continued from Customizing global preferences.

• General

  • Checked items will appear on Turn In screen

    Click to select Yes for field(s) that resources can fill out when turning in jobs via RB Connect:

    • Edit Case – Resource can correct case name and other case details.
    • Read & Sign, Read & Sign Date – If read & sign applies to a witness being deposed, the resource can indicate they have completed the requirement and include the date.
    • Add New Firms and Contacts – Resource can enter firm and contact information for attending and ordering clients into your RB9 database.
    • Prefill Parties – Resource can add parties already in your RB9 database from the job, case or previous turn-ins, instead of manually entering information.
    • Add Attendance (non-ordering clients) – Resource can enter names and other details about parties who attended the deposition but did not order copies of transcripts at the time.

    NOTE: Information entered in these fields is entered directly into RB9

    If you do not want resources to enter information into your RB9 system because they might duplicate existing firms or contacts, for instance, or otherwise enter errors into your database, do not check these items.

    TIP: Market transcripts to attending parties

    Encourage your resources to add attending parties to their turned-in jobs. You can contact these non-ordering parties later to see if they would like to order copies. Give them their own RB Connect IDs and passwords so they can purchase copies online.

• Users to notify

  To choose which RB9 users (e.g., the production manager) are alerted via Notifications and Messages when a resource turns in a completed task, see Managing users to notify.

• Options

  • To allow resources to add automatically numbered stamps to PDF exhibits when turning in jobs online, click to select Yes in Add Exhibit Stamp. See Exhibit Stamps. You can decide in Setup > Exhibit Stamps which stamps resources can use when turning in jobs via RB Connect.
  • When a resource adds a new firm or contact during Turn In, check the Send a notification when a new firm or contact is created box so designated RB9 users will receive notification messages.
