Previewing invoices

After calculating invoice totals, review what will be on the invoice before posting and sending it to the client.

NOTE: Finalize invoices as you go or in batches

The final steps of calculating, previewing, posting and sending invoices can be done either within each turned-in job or in the Billing module later, individually or in batches to save time.

  1. Click an Invoice No. options button > Preview Invoice in:
  2. In the Preview Invoice window, RB9 displays the invoice with “DRAFT” as a watermark (so you know this is not a posted invoice) with/without details, depending on the preference set in the billed firm’s Additional pane (see Entering additional firm information).
  3. After reviewing the invoice, click Close in the Preview Invoice window.
Next: Post and send invoices

After previewing invoices, post them to your RB9 ledger (i.e., record the billed items) and send copies to ordering clients. See Posting invoices and Posting invoices in Turn In.
