Finding PDFs for linking exhibits

RB9 only

If you did not link exhibits to a transcript when creating it, you can add them later in the Link Exhibits function.

NOTE: Save time with pre-set linking patterns

Before using Link Exhibits, set up a default list of commonly used exhibit file names with their transcript aliases (the words and phrases used in transcripts to reference the exhibits) in Setup > Link Exhibits Patterns. (See Setting up alias patterns.)

1. Production > Linked Exhibits
2. In the Search By pane, find a transcript to embed exhibits into. No specific search filter is required, but you must use at least one:

• Job No.

  To find transcripts for one job, enter its job number.

• Witness

  To find transcripts for one deponent, enter part of the deponent’s name.

• Upload Date From/Upload Date To

  To find transcripts by the dates they were uploaded, enter a date or date range. See Date Navigator.

• Business Units

  Profit centers or parts of your business you track separately. Default is ALL. Click to restrict search to transcripts tied to specific BUs (see Lookup panel). BUs are set in Business Units.

3. RB9 lists all of the PDF transcripts that meet the specified search condition(s). To select a transcript for linking exhibits, click the transcript’s radio button, then click Link Exhibits.
