Although RB9 is not an accounting system, it does track many financial aspects of your business, can be used with QuickBooks, and replaces separate billing software.
For how to set up lists, see Customizing lists.
Basic accounting rules group all finance-related things into 5 fundamental types of accounts: Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Income and Expenses. RB provides an expanded list of account types, which you can edit/add to.
Entries here appear in the Account Type drop-down in individual accounts in Chart of Accounts. See Customizing accounts.
A Billing Rate Group is a parent structure that contains related billing rates as its children. Set up basic categories (groups), such as Standard, Preferred, and specific cases. After setting up groups, add billing rates (in Setup > Billing Rates) and attach entities. Firms, contacts, and parties to a case must be connected to a billing rate group. Refer to the Rates setup workflow for the complete rates setup order.
A Pay Rate Group is a parent structure that contains related pay rates as its children. Set up basic categories (groups), such as different pay grades. Then add pay rates (in Setup > Pay Rates). Each pay rate group can have an unlimited number of pay rate tables.
Every resource must be connected to a pay rate group.
