Surcharge, like Finance Charge, is a fee that was not included in an invoice’s balance, but is added to posted invoices while applying payments to invoices. You can use this option for the fees you incur processing payments by credit card. When you process a credit card payment, a line item for the fee will appear on the current invoice to show it has been paid.
