Restricting access & setting permissions
You can limit access to an RB-PDF Transcript by setting passwords and restricting certain features, such as printing and editing.
Continued from Finishing PDF transcripts.
- To restrict transcript access and set permissions, check the transcript box(es) in the PDF Transcript window, then click Set Security.
- In the Set Security popup, if you would like to restrict what recipients can do with the transcript, set a *Change Permission Password and define what it prohibits transcript readers from doing. Recipients don’t need the password to open the document in Adobe Acrobat. They only need the password if they want to perform actions it prohibits:

*Change Permission Password
Required. Enter a password in the field, then select which activities you will restrict users from performing by checking their box(es):
- Do not allow printing – Recipients cannot print copies of the transcript.
- Do not allow changing – Recipients cannot edit or otherwise alter the transcript.
- Do not allow copying content – Recipients cannot copy any part of the transcript to use elsewhere.
- Do not allow adding and changing comments – Recipients cannot make comments in the transcript or alter any existing comments in the transcript.

PDF Transcript Open Password
If you want to require users to enter a password to open the transcript, check the Require a password to open PDF Transcript box, then enter a different password than the Change Permission Password in the *PDF Transcript Open Password field (required).
- Click OK.
