Transferring invoices

Instead of voiding and re-billing an invoice that was sent to the wrong party, transfer the invoice to the correct party. You can change the firm and/or contact responsible for paying the bill and/or who ordered the services billed.
  1. Find invoice to transfer

    1. Billing > Transfer Invoice

    2. In the Search By pane, enter the number of the posted invoice in Invoice No. and click search button. If you don’t know the invoice number, use the other search filters to restrict results before clicking search button:

      • Invoice Date From/Invoice Date To

        Date job was billed. Enter a date or date range. See Date Navigator.

      • Job No.

        Enter a job number tied to the invoice.

      • Case

        Look up the case related to the invoice. See Looking up cases.

      • Business Units

        Profit centers or parts of your business you track separately. Default is ALL. Click lookup button to restrict search to invoices tied to specific BUs (see Lookup panel). BUs are set in Business Units.

    3. RB lists all of the invoices that meet the specified search condition(s). Click the hyperlinked Invoice No. of the invoice you want to transfer.
    4. In the Transfer Invoice window, click Edit.
  2. Transfer the invoice

    All client fields must be filled.

  3. Click Save.
