Downloading backup files of your database

RB9 only

If you want to have a backup file of your RB9 database onsite, you can download a backup file from up to 7 days in the past. The file naming convention is: DatabaseName_YYYYMMDD_hhmm.BAK.

  1. Tools > Download Backup Files
  2. In the Download Backup Files window, backups from the last 7 days are listed along with their file size. Click the radio button for the backup you want to save, then click Download.
  3. RB9 downloads the file to your device. If you want to save multiple backups, repeat step 2 for each file.
NOTE: Onsite backup files are for policy compliance only

RB9 includes a better-than-backup system that stores your database on several servers simultaneously in the cloud, so there is no need for your own backups for recovery purposes. However, if you need or want backups to comply with your company security policies, you can use this function to download a copy of your RB9 database backup to store on your premises.
