Setting up billing sets
Set up a new billing set anytime you find yourself selecting the same set of services for multiple jobs.

Create a new set
- Setup > Billing Sets
- Click
to see existing billing sets.
- Click New.
- In the New Billing Set window:

*Billing Set Name
Required. Enter a descriptive name to appear in Billing Set lists.

Set as Default
Click to select Yes to have this billing set appear first when prefilling services on invoices.

Show on Resource Turn-in
If resources turn in through RB Connect, click to select Yes to give them the option to use this billing set.

Remarks
Enter an expanded description of the billing set.
- Click Save.

Enter service details
- Window changes to Edit Billing Set. Service Items pane and more options appear.
- Scroll or jump to Service Items pane and click
.
- In the New Service Item panel:

Service Group
Defaults to “9. Misc. Charge.” Select a different service group, if desired, in the drop-down.

Service Subgroup
Select a service subgroup in the drop-down.

Service Item
Select a service item in the drop-down.

Units
Enter the default number of units.

Save set
Click Save >
- Save & New: To continue adding service items to the Billing Set.
- Save & Close: When finished adding service items to the Billing Set.
TIP: Copy & update billing sets to save time
In addition to updating existing billing sets, you can also create a new set from an existing one. See Managing billing sets.
NEXT: Set up resource pay periods
If resources have different pay dates or cutoff dates, group them according to their pay period (frequency). Then set up the year’s pay dates for each group. Pay Groups are unrelated to Pay Rate Groups, which classify resources according to their pay tier.
