Unlocking user accounts

RB9 follows best business practices to protect the system from hacking and other unauthorized access. One way you are protected is with account locking, in which RB9 locks out a user after a set amount of failed login attempts.

If a user has been locked out due to failed login attempts, the account must be unlocked by an administrator.

  1. Setup > Users and Groups
  2. Click the hyperlinked name of the locked-out user in the Users pane.
  3. In the View User window, click Edit.
  4. In the Edit User window, Yes is selected in the Account is locked out slider. Click to select No.
  5. Click Save.
TIP: Unlocking contact & resource accounts

If a contact or resource has been locked out of RB Connect due to too many failed login attempts, unlock their account in the Additional pane of their Entity listing. See Entering additional contact information and Entering additional resource information.

NOTE: Set account locking

In System Preferences > General > Login, protect user accounts from hacking attempts by selecting a number in the Account will be locked up, after this number of tries drop-down to allow a set amount of incorrect login attempts before RB9 locks out the user.
