Resetting passwords

Administrators do not have a way to retrieve user passwords, so if a user forgets their password, the password has to be reset. Administrators can reset individuals’ passwords, or the user can reset their password (see Setting your password at log-in and Updating your password).

  1. Setup > Users and Groups
  2. Click the hyperlinked name of the user in the Users pane.
  3. In the View User window, click Edit.
  4. In the Edit User window, click Reset Password.
  5. In the Reset Password panel, enter a strong password in the *New Password and *Confirm New Password (both required), then click Save.
