Job status can update automatically when a job confirmation is sent to the client, when a resource is assigned to a task, when an assignment notification is sent to a resource, and when a new shipment has been added.

To change the job statuses that different events trigger, click the Status to be selection for a Trigger event and select the new status that a job will update to when the event occurs. Job statuses are set up in Setup > Lists > Jobs > Status.
