BEST PRACTICES: Business Unit ID

Business Unit IDs are limited to a maximum of 10 characters. If you have multiple office locations and each location has multiple business units, you might want to create business unit IDs in a way similar to the following example to keep the IDs brief, yet meaningful:

• LA-DEP
  Los Angeles – Deposition
• LA-VID
  Los Angeles – Video
• LA-VC
  Los Angeles – Videoconferencing
• OC-IMG
  Orange County – Scanning and Imaging
• OC-REF
  Orange County – Referral Work
• SD-DEP
  San Diego – Deposition
• SF-DEP
  San Francisco – Deposition
• SF-VID
  San Francisco – Video
• SF-TP
  San Francisco – Trial Presentation
